Google+ is a bit different from most other social media platforms in that it is, more or less, simply the social component of Google's many tools and services.

Using Google+, you can create or join a community in which you can share posts and content and view that which is posted and shared by others within your community.

Google+ is predominantly male.

According to, about 74% of it's 400,000 active users are men, many of them within the fields of web and computer development or engineering.

Currently, only about 40% of marketers use Google+, making it a potentially untapped territory within your field.

In spite of being smaller in the sheer number of users than most of the other platform choices we've discussed, it is growing by about 33% each year, making it a possibly strong emerging candidate that might be well worth your attention.
